Hi! I’m Hanna, an animation student at Sheffield Hallam University, currently producing my graduate animated short, "The Beads of One Ash Tree"—a 2-minute hand-drawn animation exploring family, resilience, and the cycle of life through a post-Soviet lens. 🌲🍂
📖 The Plot: Set in the lush autumn woods of a post-Soviet town, the story follows a young girl learning foraging skills from her bear-like father, a man with hands like slabs of meat but a heart of gold. As the seasons shift, the girl grows into a mother herself, passing on her father’s wisdom to her son, who mirrors her childhood curiosity. This poetic tale weaves together poetic slice of life, nostalgia, and grounded optimism.
🎭 What I’m Looking For:
I need talented male and female voice actors to perform non-verbal vocalisations for the following characters:
- Father: A rugged, bear-like man with a gentle soul.
- Girl: A scrappy young protagonist from a post-Soviet town.
- Mother: The grown version of the Girl, now a nurturing teacher.
- Boy: A child of the Westernised era, echoing his mother’s childhood curiosity and youthful charm.

🎤 Voices can be recorded on-campus or independently with proper sound equipment.
🎧 I’m happy to book a booth, operate equipment, and coordinate recordings!
🗓️ Final recordings must be submitted by 21st March 2025.
