We're looking to cast for the role of JESSE in our proof of concept (and eventual graduate film) STRANGER.
STRANGER is a short drama film about the lasting intimacy in a relationship that lingers years after people part and the consequences of hiding honesty. The proof of concept film will explore the initial fallout between these two characters.
JESSE is a man with a dark brooding atmosphere clouding him. While he struggles to open up about his feelings, a kind heart is buried beneath. His ex Alex saw that heart and helped Jesse feel things he’d not truly felt on his own before. When they fell apart, so did Jesse’s life. Now orphaned and pieced back together through therapy and rewiring, Alex returns and reopens that buried longing; for better or worse.
The films focus on a queer relationship, and as such, all applicants would need to be comfortable with acting intimately with the same sex. (hugging, hand holding etc.) We encourage those who are LGBTQ+ to apply. It is expenses only, but we'll provide all materials for showreels and the like!
