Casting call - 'Words you know are blind' Music video - Opportunities - Sheffield Hallam University

Hi there! I'm Joe from the Film+TV course at Sheffield Hallam and I'm the Director-Producer of an upcoming music video, 'words you know are blind' by Slamhaus. We're looking for a couple of actors for it. A few years ago I worked on an indie internet radio station where I would contact artists to confirm broadcast of their songs (Content ID can be a nightmare!). I met virtually with a great artist called "Slamhaus", who allows creative people and their projects to use his songs free of charge. I've personally used his tracks for several differing bits of online content as he has such a variety of songs. It would be a great way to give back to him to create a music video for one of his best songs, "Words you know are blind".

With the title, and lyrics for the song, the music video just *had* to be about 'not always meaning what we say', so for this reason we're creating a video based around a relationship split up before they realise they have made a mistake. Some of the story will be told in non-chronological order so it will a be pretty interesting watch.

The roles We're looking for are:

male & female character in a relationship. Both characters roles are interchangeable, so let's call them Person A (lead) and Person B. Person A will need to be comfortable running whilst on camera as running is a major theme, and both characters able to act out an argument (though as it is a music video this is only visuals and no sync sound). Person B will take more of a backseat and have less of a presence but still a key element. We will select the strongest actor for the lead role regardless of gender.
Friend of Person A: a refuge person as a place to go during the separation: a smaller role.

Actors for these characters should be around 20-26 years old though this isnt a hard set number.

This is an unpaid role but offers a great opportunity for aspiring actors to grow their showreels and work with film crew growing your insight into the industry! We have yet to select a shooting date but we're aiming to shoot this over 2-3 days in the next couple of months once casting is sorted.
