terror_time (Anthology Series)

terror_time (Anthology Series)

Hello. I am Jessie, recently graduated from SHU with a 2:1. After months of making up stories, I have decided to delve back into creating physcial work.

I have an idea for a horror anthology titled terror_time. The main idea is that each episode will follow a character seen in the previous episode, and everybody gets into situations we've all seen in horror movies.

Last year and this year I planned and made a web series called "ghost_hunt", visitable here; home (ghost-hunt.info) Have fun exploring this site. It has secrets.

My goal for the series is to make 6 episode for the first production block, and this project requires different angles of approach, so I need writers who can put forward ideas, as big or small as they might be, and I need actors (especially ones who can give a very different performance for a different character). One of the larger aspects of this project is that I do not work with scripts. I have the story, the characters, and I know what happens, but it's up to myself and the actors in the moment to decide what action/dialogue would best fit the media (In other words, I'd like people who are good at improv).

I don't know which of these episodes will be made, but I have a small list here to get myself started.

"In the End" - Finding himself alone and infected with an unknown disease, Will begins to wonder if anyone else survived.

"In the Clouds" - Abigail is a dreamy girl, as in she daydreams. One day, she begins to hear voices coming from the sky, which delight her, until they begin to demand blood.

"In the Flesh" - A obsessed fan meets his hero, actor Devon Archer. Devon gives Luke the oppertunity to appear in a film as an uncredited extra, but Luke grows jealous of Devon's fame and wanting to be as famous, plans to kill Devon live on television during an interview.

The making of this series can begin immediately given we have the right people for the job, so don't be scared, give me a shout.

I can meet anyone who wants to get involved in Sheffield.

  • I can really recommend working with Jessie. Check out http://www.ghost-hunt.info for his project for our digital showcase last year. His work received high praise from Sheffield Theatre's Artistic Director Rob Hastie.

    • Hey Stasha, are you available on Facebook at all? Or an email I could contact you through?
    • Stasha, you'd be great for this. Jessie's process is really gentle and this would be a great way to start building your CV!
  • I worked as an actor with Jessie last year on his series 'ghost_hunt'. Great fun, very low stress & highly creative as Jessie works with bullet-point actions and lines that allows the actor to partly improvise the scene. Highly recommended!
