CASTING CALL (Unpaid Acting Opportunity)
‘The First Date’ -
A 5-minute short film, made as part of a university assignment.
This short film explores how an unimaginable situation changes the dynamic between two people. At first nothing can break their bond, they agree on everything, it seems like the perfect first date. But a tragic accident flips everything on it’s head, forcing the couple to make tough decisions, pushing the relationship to it’s breaking point.
Jacob (22) is a medical student trying to find love again by taking Gabby out on a date. He is confident that he can charm her, with his rehearsed pickup lines and flirting but the façade slips away when the date goes off course. Jacob has a fickle and weak character, his priorities are by no means moral. We need a confident, lead role actor who can play this character, also being able to portray a weak and selfish side.
Filming in Sheffield and off the Snake Pass. Compensation of Travel and provisions
Production: November 6th to November 17th (2 days of filming – Exact Dates to be confirmed)
A perfect, unpaid opportunity to portray a complex character with dramatic scenes and intense interaction with another actor. Can be used for portfolios and showreel.
