My story starts in secondary school where we did a performance of high school musical, which originally i wasn't part of, but i got asked to do it so i did, i played zeek the jock and since then ive loved performing. After HSM i was in a production of Little shop of Horrors where i played the Psychotic woman abusing dentist Orin Scrivello. That was my all time favourite role I've played so far. Moving on to College where i studied Performing Arts.
Our first show there was a commedia piece called The Duchess Mislaid where i played tropolino, captain spavento's right hand man and the brains of the captains crew. we then did a devising piece called Timeless which was based around climate change.
it was round this point in time when a student from Derby University came into college to find people to be a part of his feature film 'a touch of vengeance' in which i was on top of a multi-story car park for about 4 hours in the cold in nothing but a t-shirt shouting profanities in a fight scene. after the fight scene i had to get my mouth full of fake blood and let it pour out my mouth as the camera rolled passed in the car.
Going back to college now, we then did Aladdin as our Panto where i played Widow Twanky the dame, which we sadly wasnt able to perform properly due to covid so it was done in various different ways, with some of the script being done as a normal scene, some parts being done as a radio drama and so on, but we managed to do the dances properly and just had them recorded. The final piece we did at college was Chicago where i played Amos Hart, a quiet caring man who everyone ignores and pushes around, hence his song Mr Cellophane where he sings about people looking right through him and never even knowing he's there. The picture added to this blog was during Chicago when cell block tango was being performed, at the point when the photo was taken, one of my good friends ,Poppy Scollick, who played Velma Kelly, was at that point in time, getting ready to stab me because i "ran into her knife 10 times"
That was my time at college and now starting University, i cant wait to see what it has instore for me.
