My name is Molly Ellis I am 21 from Chesterfield. I was unable to complete my first year when I was previously at the university, so I am pleased that I am back. The course is brilliant with lots of opportunities. I can't wait to see what projects there are this year!
The best show that I have seen is The Phantom Of The Opera at the West End. Every element of the show was outstanding! Not only the acting was brilliant but also the way that the stage was set and how the props and costumes contrast together. The show leaves an touching impact on the audience as the emotions are performed with such clarity and truth. The performance was very moving due to the detailed theatrical acting and truthfulness. This was outlined on a reflection of how the stage was set and the iconic music.
Jodie Comer is my favourite actress as she can play a range of characters. She is very hardworking and inspirational. Sally Lindsay is also one of my favourite actresses.
I have been studying drama and dance since around 2017. I was first interested in drama when I was at school. Then I went to a theatre group to have lessons in musical theatre, singing and dance, then I studied Performing Arts at college. At college I learnt a range of skills such as confidence, diction, stage management skills and skills for organising the set and props. I played Alice in The Addams Family Musical at college that was a very good experience. I also had fun working behind the scenes. There are still a lot of skills that I would like to develop at university and I am looking forward to having more knowledge about the acting industry.
Over the years I have taken part in dance shows at theatres in Chesterfield. I have dance experience in Jazz and Tap. However, my favourite and most passionate thing to study is acting. I am hoping to study to become a drama teacher or go into the industry after graduation.
I am looking forward to returning to the course and learning lots of new things.
