PERFORMER CALL OUT
We are Elephant’s Nest Productions and we NEED YOU!
Elephant’s Nest Productions, founded by Camille and Lily, is a newly formed production company seeking to create stories that celebrate unheard voices and female-led stories. We are looking for three volunteer performers to assist in a combined script readthrough and camera blocking session with the director and DOP for our new short, The Snug. Set in Sheffield’s famous Fagan’s Pub, The Snug follows Pearl, owner of music venue The Tin Bath, and her long-time employee Jeff as they anxiously wait for a meeting that will decide the fate of their beloved venue.
The session will be taking place on Thurs 18th September, 10.00-14.30 at Fagan’s on Broad Street. Lunch will be provided/ covered.
The roles for the readthrough/ blocking session are as follows. Please note, the character ages are for reference and not a requirement of the performers:
PEARL – Female, mid to late 30s
JEFF – Male, late 50s/ early 60s
Please also note that we’ve already cast our performers for the Short itself, however we are still the lookout for background artists for the shoot. If this would be of interest, please do get in touch. If you have interest in taking part in this session, please get in contact. It would also be useful to know your availability for a zoom the night before.
