Hi, i'm Steve, this is a quick look at my story so far. I didn't realise any passion for acting or anything of the sorts until I was 17. I was forced to pick Media as an A level as I didn't get the grades for what i wanted to do at the time, which was a blessing in disguise really. That took me from there to a performing arts course at college, but the real eye opening moment was when a friend of mine was in the process of directing a short film, Fantopia which won the panasonic best film 2020 award. I spent two days in three hours worth of make up and had the best time of my life and decided this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

At college I did a few shows, a commedia Dell'arte piece The Duchess Mislaid where I played Captain Spavento Val Del Inferno, who was a man who lied about being a rich and powerful captain in order to gain Kudos with the locals, he was soon found out. I took part in a devising piece Timeless which was used to raise awareness of climate change, specifically the works of Extinction Rebellion. I then played the Genie in Aladdin, this was sadly never performed because of covid. The final performance I did in college was the musical Chicago where I played BIlly Flynn, the big brained narccistist lawyer.

Also during my time at college, a local director came in to look for people for his feature film A Touch of Vengeance a dark and bloody film about a hitman. I spent four or five hours in a building with no heating in november in just a t shirt and jeans, and then got shot in the face, and again this was one of the most fun things i've done in my life.

The plan for the next few years is to develop, refine my skillls and recieve the training that i need to take my work to an industry standard. I'm hoping to do a masters degree in acting, but we'll see how it goes.

  • Hi Steve, this is a great first blog. :) Full of energy and personality, and your identity and passion really comes through in your writing. Great picture of you in the mask. That must have been a really intense experience waiting for hours at a time in make-up!

  • Impressive list of acting roles, excited to see what you do next :)
