The Spirit of Independence Film Festival is BACK!!

The Spirit of Independence Film Festival is back for its third year running! A jam-packed one-day event showcasing both features and short films from Sheffield and around the world!

This year’s festival is expanding, opening at not only the Abbeydale Picture House but the Picture House Social! The festival will include Q and A sessions, local film showcases, networking, artwork displays and stalls!

The festival is in partnership with Open House Pictures, whose founders Dan Bale and Joe Palmer studied Stage and Screen at Sheffield Hallam University! The partnership was developed under a mutual passion and commitment to supporting local Sheffield creatives whilst providing an accessible platform for this type of work.

The festival aims to support filmmakers, actors and producers early in their careers with useful and constructive workshops whilst offering a space to meet like-minded individuals and enjoy a host of local and international films.

This is not one to be missed!
