Aimee Pearce- sharing my passion for acting and set design!

My name is Aimee Pearce and I’m currently studying for a BA hons degree at Sheffield Hallam university to help me achieve my goal of working professionally within the creative arts. What I aim to gain out of uni is the skills and knowledge in the performing arts industry to fulfil my ambition of becoming a professional actor. Upon successfully gaining my qualification my intention is to travel and build up my acting and set design portfolio.

During 2019-2021 I studied at Brooksby Melton college, where I have worked on projects such as Vinegar Tom by Caryl Churchill, Hamlet by William Shakespeare, Alice in Wonderland panto edited by Arnie Breen and The Good Person of Szechuan by Bertolt Brecht.

I have worked professionally as a scare actor for 'Xtreme Scream Park’ playing a horror character where I had to interact with guests. This helped me develop my skills as it improved my professionalism and made me feel more confident as a performer specifically with improvisation as I had to react to the guests. I also worked as a McDonalds employee which helped me gain teamwork skills and to become financially independent. I have a passion for the arts, my other interests include painting, and reading.

  • Aimee, this is a really good first blog. I enjoyed reading about your previous experiences, and getting a sense of who you are as a performer and what your aspirations are. The Xtreme Scream Park looks amazing. I'd love to go! Though maybe I'd be too terrified... Great work!

  • Really good use of images portraying a wide spectrum of talent and interest which reflects the body of text well. The first paragraph cleary shows your aims and aspirations for the future showing you have a clear path in your head you want to take. The piece is well written, clear and a joy to read.

    • Yes, Kira, I agree, the pics are well chosen!
