BREAK 3 | Micro-Festival of DIY Short Films

BREAK 3 | Micro-Festival of DIY Short Films

BREAK 3 is a micro-festival of DIY short films, created by Level 5 undergraduate students studying on the BA (hons) Acting & Performance degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

Each 3-minute film has been specially created by an individual student working remotely to write, direct, perform, and edit a creative digital response that questions what it means to them to ‘break free’.

Course Leader Dr Tom Payne explains, "BREAK 3 is a celebration of student creativity, ingenuity and resourcefulness. All of the works have been shot on a smartphone device using lo-fi Do-it-Yourself filmmaking techniques. The student responses are incredibly diverse and some of them will be really surprising".

#BREAK3

All BREAK 3 films will be freely available to audiences on the Sheffield Hallam University Acting & Performance website for seven days beginning with a special online screening event on Thursday 22nd April 2021 at 7 pm.
