Today we experimented with foley sound. This was my  first experience doing things like this. This morning we learned about how the experts use different things to create everyday sound. " using everyday objects to create realistic sound effects, Foley artists can bring movies to life and create a more immersive cinematic experience"
Examples of this includes using hands on a wooden floor to mimic bare feet, a pinecone for cracking ice or blowing bubbles into water for a teapot boiling. I done this one.
Whilst watching the rest of my group perform there foley sounds it was really interesting, I go to have a small insight into what exactly would happen before I went in the booth. When I stepped foot in there all the props were in there. I put on the headphones and listened to the original sound first, to get an idea of the timing and how it sounds. Then I got recorded, I had to take a big breath before as it went on for a few seconds but whilst doing it I found it easy. The first take was really good but I done another one just to be safe. Listening to it back was really cool, getting to see how it looked with the boiling coffee pot visuals. I have always been interested in the more technical side of stage and screen too so getting to work on something that was different and that I had never encountered before was very interesting, I found it a really unique experience and one that I would defiantly do again.
