Danny Evans: Me, so far.

Danny Evans: Me, so far.

Me, so far.

As a Derby born actor, I have been described as “some of the best youth talent in the region” as part of my works with the company DYMT. 9634064092?profile=RESIZE_710x

With a strong array of character driven roles in musical theatre and plays, I have excelled in principal and supporting roles a like, to create an engaging and energectic performance. Starring as The Tin Man, Chuck Cranston, Scrooge, Officer Krupke, Ned Schneebly and Charlie Brown in the last 3 years, demostrates that I have the capacity to perform main character roles in school productions, large scale youth performances and semi profesional plays with adults. My comedic timing has often been pointed out by fellow friends, cast members and directors, therefore, I like to incorporate this into my roles as much as I can. However, I can portray complex characters with multiple emotional tones at once like the old man in the play TWO. For this role, I had to create a face of sadness and happiness rolled into one as the senile character enjoyed a pint at the pub whilst reminising about his deceased wife.

Growing up in a low income area with my single mum, meant I spent a large amount of time watching TV shows and films like Doctor Who, Star Wars and Pirates of the Carribean. This influenced me massively as I wanted to one day bring entertainment to younger people who have to make do with what they have because of there circumstances. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am and I have no plans on stopping now.
