End of Semester One Approaches!

It's been a really busy time here at SHU Performance. Only last week the Performance Lab played host to TREEFXXXERS by Doppelgangster and SHU Performance Lab Company 18. This show about the Sheffield street trees controversy went down a storm with students and local community members. Well done to all involved!

This week our final year students have been back in the rehearsal studios getting ready for their Advanced Acting and Making Comedy assessments, which are due to take place in the final days of the Semester.

The standard of this work is always very high and is a testament to the skill of our students and the commitment of our teaching staff. We can't wait to see all the work and look forward to our annual trip to DINA venue for the stand-up shows which are always a real hoot!

Our second year students have been working just as hard on their creative projects, including those for Re-interpreting Performance and Applied Theatre. Well done!

Other students have been working hard on Performance for the Screen and Performance for the Stage. In these two first year modules small groups have been developing performances for both mediums.

You can catch Performance for the Stage presentations next Friday (14th) at the Performance Lab. Look out for the event listing which will be published on the community soon.

Well done to everyone! Not just for your practical work but for all the other work that you have been doing too. We know you've been as hard at it in the library as you have in the rehearsal rooms.
