Journey of 1,000 steps

I have begun my acting journey and I have found it to be an amazing introduction to the world of acting. Both onstage and behind the scenes. What has stood out to me the most is how physically demanding this course is going to be. Flexibility holds great importance to actors as it allows you to flow freely and shows your character more through what your body language is saying. Another new aspect I have learnt is how important self-branding is to all actors. Not just myself. We are all competing to draw in companies that wish to work with us and it’s imperative that we have an image that upholds us respectfully, which also means that all activity that happens both inside and outside the workplace will leave a footprint. During During Sophie’s’ class, we discussed the importance of colour palettes and how the use of colours changes our perception on what a professional website will look like and be presented. When discussing what colours we found to be professional, I said “shadings such as white and black are the most professional as it’s the most common colours used by huge businesses.”
