PASSION!

PASSION!

Hi I’m Tyler, I am 19 years old she/her, my goal and dream is to become and actor, my love for performing started when I was 11 years old when I got a role in my primary school leavers production, Our leavers production was a child friendly version of the rocky horror show. I played the inspector I remeber it was the most confident i have ever felt, just having fun on stage for others and hearing the audience claps was so exciting from that moment i knew acting was the career path i wanted to go down.

Next stage was highschool, i remeber when i first heard of the schools christmas play, i went and audtioned for the main role, i did not get it but that did not dishearten me i still got a supporting role. Acting has shown me ambition, persiverance and motivation, and to never be scared to reach for the stars and achieve your dreams. The world truly is your oyster and you can conquer it anyway you like.

In college i also chose to study performing arts, The first piece we performed was a play called everyman, i played goods and riches, at first this character was extremely out my comfort zone i had never played a character like this before, i needed to be over the top, and use very exaggerated movements, but i took the challenge head on and it made me realise pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is expanding your knowlegde and skill to learn and develope your skill set, which i believe makes a good actor. The next piece we performed was Heathers the musical, i played Martha dunnstock who was veronica's bestfriend and for our major final piece we had to create our own piece of devised theatre using all the knowledge we had gained from rehersals and past experiences and skills we were taught when learning different practioners. This lead to the creation of Locked in, which was inspired by the Breakfast club, it was where we all came to an auditon and got locked in the room together, and as time went by we start revealing stuff about our life situations and past and then it finally revealed that the person who locked us in, was one us in the room. I played a character called Alex he was the villian, Very arrogant, rude and believed he was better than everyone else.

Acting for me is freedom it allows you to be yourself and allows you to discover things you never knew before, For me being on stage or infront of a screen is exciting and genuinely fills me with joy as playing different character truly allows you to understand many different life experience’s. When people see me perform and hopefully one day when people watch me through their screen I hope they relate and feel the happiness and joy I get from performing through different characters. The characters i mainly like to play are typically 'the bestfriend' or the 'villian' as i feel more confident in these roles.
