Making new friends, ice breakers and presenting our skills all in one day at Endcliffe park was such a refreshing experience. We walked for what seemed like miles to get there, but there is something so thrilling about engaging with other creative minds in a new setting, so I couldn’t help but enjoy the day with everyone.
Everyone has been itching to get back into the theatre, so when I was told we were all going to see Typical Girls by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, I didn’t know what to expect. Nevertheless, I let the (not so inner) theatre nerd take over and I came out of the Crucible Theatre feeling empowered and overwhelmed by the talent I had gotten to see. Who knew a women’s prison unit would punk rock their way into an audience’s heart!
I went into our first acting ensemble class with an open mind. I wanted to be prepared to throw myself into whatever was thrown at us. Whether I threw myself in or... stumbled in, is irrelevant, I was so happy to be bouncing off other people’s ideas and creative energy that I let the poetry we were exploring sink into my brain and everyone came out with some really inventive devised pieces.

Very well written and very consise. I'm impressed that you spoke about Endcliffe, Typical girls and the first session all in one blog post.
You clearly had a really great time on your first with. I'm dazzled by how you manged to talk about all three of the choices with a very concise amount of words. I loved meeting you. :)
Very good insight to your experiences so far Lucy. I am impressed with how much information you've got across about all of your experiences rather than just one aspect of the course so far into this and tied it all together.
