During welcome week we travelled to Endcliffe park with the acting students from every year. This was a very fun experience and really helped me come out of my shell. This was important to me because I am a shy person and it can take me a while for me to be comfortable around people.
This trip made me realise that everyone here is incredibly talented and creative, especially when we had to devise a short piece in small groups, using the area as a stimulus. This was a challenging task due to the fact that it was incredibly open-ended but nevertheless we persevered. We created a piece about about fantastical creatures who are being told to leave by one of the king's messengers, however, this 'messenger' is actually helping them escape before the king and queen destroy their home. Even though it was short I feel like it had a good balance of emotion and comedy which is what I am the most confident at. Other students created some insane and unpredictable performances, really using the space given and creating some incredible immersive theatre.
I can't wait to work with these amazingly talented people again and It makes me glad that I joined Acting and Performance at Sheffield Hallam.

I loved how personal this article is and the flow of the words made it very easy to read.
Lovely Sean! It's been great to see your work so far not just at Endcliffe park but also on the course in general. Looking forward to working with you going forward.
A great read Sean! I lliked the way you delved into your own personal experience at the park and didn't generalise the trip as a whole :)
